Dear Pastor and Congregation,

We would like to thank each one of you that faithfully pray for us and the ministry here in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. We are continually encouraged by your faithfulness, by your letters, and by your many acts of kindness. We pray that the Lord will bless you greatly.

Please continue to pray for the Bible Center. This has proved to be a great way to reach lost souls for Christ as well as a way to help young Christians grow in the Lord. We currently have forth people signed up in the library and are always having folks who are interested come in. Most Muslims will not enter a church, but they will go to a library like the one my colleague Pat Russell has started. We have had several souls saved as the results of making Christian books available.

Please continue to pray for the church in Abidjan. Praise the Lord that many of the new Christians are being faithful to church services and several are starting to see the importance of weekly soul-winning. Along with this growth in new converts there has been persecution. One young Christian named Henry Joel has been told by his Catholic godfather that he cannot come to our church any longer. Henry was saved after watching a Christian film during a special evangelism service we had. We know that god will do great things in this young man's life, he really loves the Lord.

Please continue to pray for us as we endeavor to learn the culture and also for my Jula studies. These two subjects seem to work hand in hand. Many have told us that as you learn the language, you also learn the culture so we definitely need your prayers to learn this tonal language.

We would like to say thank you for those of you who sent gifts and extra support for Christmas. We were able to buy a bicycle for Jimmy and do a little extra because of your gracious giving. We do appreciate your thoughtfulness.

We are now on line with CompuServe, which has proven to be a great help in our correspondence. Our E-mail address is :

We are also starting to use an address in Abidjan at which we would like to receive all our mail. This address is :

Dan Post La Mission Baptiste Internationale
BP 1421 Cidex 1
Abidjan 06 Ivory Coast

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We pray that the Lord will bless you greatly as you serve Him.

In Christ,

Dan Post
